Scabies, also known as the itching, is a contagious ectoparasite skin infection characterized by superficial burrows and intense pruritus (itching). It is caused by the mite Sarcoptes scabies.

The word scabies itself is derived from the Latin word for "scratch". Other names for the condition include Mite, Itch Mite, Mange, Crusted Scabies, Norwegian Scabies, Sarcoptes scabies, or The Seven-Year Itch.

Norwegian scabies comes from people with comprised immune systems or they have other health problems, typically its just a blown out version of normal scabies. Mites can be in the thousands instead of like 10-15 scabies mites which is hte rough estimate of a normal scabies infection. If you had norwegian scabies you would know it as it tends to crust over your body.

There are a lot of treatments available for scabies. However with the medical progresses, these treatments have evolved into newer strategies and antiparasitic drugs. Elimite or permethrin cream is one of the most common medications to kill the infestation of mites which cause scabies. This medication is to be applied on the body from neck to toes and left on the skin for about 12-14 hours. This treatment is safe and could be used on infants over the age of 2 months.

People also use the anti-lice treatments which have proven to be harmful on kids or elderly people. These treatments contain harmful ingredients and chemicals which could only be used a few times. Lindane is also being prescribed since years to treat the symptoms of scabies; however it usually leads to a few side effects. There are a few complementary therapies as well; however they haven’t been quite effective over the years. The scabies medications often come in the form of creams. Non-toxic bed bug treatments are also effectual in cleaning your home and treating bug bites on your body.

Some of the other natural remedies include the juice of fresh apricot leaves to be extracted. This juice is to be applied on the affected parts to treat the scabies. On the other hand, you can also make a paste of dry neem leaves and turmeric. Apply this paste on the affected regions and leave it for an hour. It is known to reduce the lesions caused due to scabies.

There are numerous different ways to kill scabies naturally instead of using dangerous chemicals such as permethrin. If your looking to kill your scabies with 3 items from your grocery store within 24 hours you should visit http://ScabiesHomeTreatment.com
