Is it okay to treat scabies anotehr time after 5 days of the first treatment? I will be unavailable to treat on the 7th day, will this be a waste or still work at breaking up the scabies cycle? Can someone explain to me the scabies cycle more indepth so I can understand? Is there any pills you can just take to get rid of this ?

Any help is much appreciated

I am sure 7days is the protocol but at the same time I beleive 5-7days is okay but I would say using it on the 7th day after would be more effective then the 5days after. I beleive the cycle is 5-7 days.

My guess is it should work if your scabies infection was diagnosed rite away. If you were misdaignosed for a period of time you mite want to use it on the 7th day as the pysical evidence of the cycle suggested.

I beleive anywhere from 5-7 days is perfect timing to kill the scabies mite cycle, this will give you a chance to kill anything you left on the first permethrin treatment, remember to wear the permethrin in the evening before you go to bed for 14 hours.

This should be fine! If you treat 5-7days after the first treatment you should have completely killed them all off. If you were not successful after two treatments inbetween like that you will naturally need to cure your scabies, the scabies are likely resistant to the permethrin cream. Or you mite want to try the skin exfoliator solution that is on this forum, it will help get your skin down to its initial layers so that the cream is actually able to penetrate your skin to kill them. Hold on I will find the link.......

This is a pretty interesting find on scabies treatments, it seems alot of treatments are failing nowadays as the scabies becomes more resistant, it could be that natural remedies work better...

Could be time for people to create different cures to be given out OTC

Yes I think the scabies lifecycle is like 5-7 days, I would wait the full 7 days and give everything that you mite of missed ( scabies eggs that didn't hatch yet) just to be on the safeside. Scabies is pretty annoying like that, if the scabies treatment wasn't 100% effective you will be in the same situation once again, this is why cleaning and personal hygiene is very important with scabies and post scabies mites.

I beleive anywhere from 7-10 days would be sufficient enough to ensure a complete kill, I highly suggest you try treating naturally if you were misdiagnosed or don't want future skin problems that occur because of applying pesticides on your skin. I know that the Lindane permethrins would leak 40% into your bloodstream, this is why they were pulled off the market in like 40 countries and banned for scabies treatment. I think the kwelleda p is also dangerous as they leak 2-5% of the chemical into your bloodstream. Basically these can lead to future skin problems and serious problems as it affects your neurological system in your head. I would really try treating with natural remedies rather than dangerous cures.

I agree! your going to want to wait a full 7-8 days so you know that the egg cycle has completed itself. It is all about breaking the scabies cycle.

Yeah 7-9 just to be sure the eggs have fully hatched! Some people claim to put permethrin on their body for 3 days in a row, this is just crazy, it is amazing enough that people still actually use permethrin to kill scabies when they are becoming resistant to most chemical based treatments.
