Never heard of this before! I would image your mouth has acids and is not ideal conditions for scabies mites to live? I also never heard they grew on your head but I see people saying scabies can live on your scalp. I would think these cases would be more rare?

It is likely, I have read stories of people who thought they had somethign biting them on their eyeball, scabies are pretty aggressive and need to be treated immediately.

Try making a mouthwash with tea tree oil in it or maybe try placing tea tree oil undiluted directly on the spots within your mouth which itch. Not sure but I think scabies like moisture and smell so it mite be a place they like living.

i just got scabies from a rave :/ and i just poped one out of my gums and i can feel them crawling in the back of my throat, im asumming scabies in your mouth isnt normal? idk.. im sketched out tho and i have to wait til tomorow just to see the doctor and i got it 2 days ago and found it yesterday night... but what im doing for my mouth, id sudgest brush your teeth like when you wake up after everymeal and before you go to bed. i know lice doesnt like hot things (like hot shower water or somthing) soo drink lots of hot liquid (tea, coffee, hot cocoa, ect.) and rinse your mought out with strong mouth wash, but you should still see a doctor anyway.

Yes they can likely live anywhere on you but scabies prefer certain areas with skin folds and areas more protected by clothing rather than open areas such as your face and head.

d'oh! I'm a living testament that they absolutely do love your face. They hang out in ears and come out as soon as the lights go out or you close your eyes one.Especially if your laying on a surface that's infested bed couch etc. Mine get active AS SOON AS I close my eyes I've tricked them like I was going to sleep (when I first realized what they were) and I always jump up really quick a slather on petroleum jelly or peroxide the little buggers. I'm absolutely at war with them. Permethrin didn't work cause I've had them for so long and I'm at my wits end and will start taking bleach baths I just have to think of a way to get the internal ones, and not to mention I have some folks in denial in the household I live in. My whole thing is if I was going to make something up why would it be scabies? I see them scratch and I'll bring it up and WHILE THEIR SCRATCHING THEIR ALL, I'M NOT ITCHING. DID YOU HEAR ME SAY WHILE THEIR SCRATCHING>>Brick wall I'm not able to move right now but I suspect I'll have them until I move away from these itch faker idiots! I also feel them crawling in my throat but I think they die cause saliva is a natural enzyme.

I hate this and wish it wasn't happening. Doctors are the worse though (I've lost faith in traditional medicine). I actually cried and begged for help at the ER and do you know they told me there was nothing they cold do , and they didn't have a microscope to check Liar (hospital was closing like the next day but still). Referred me to dermatologist and gave me a immunosuppressant which I absolutely need my immune system more than ever right now I think either he did it on purpose or is a total birdbrain. Since reading several forums I know dermatologist won't be of any help, so I'm up sh*t creek right now treating myself with some very toxic sh*t. I took a bath in fabuloso for god sakes. I did this cause I figure whatever the blue stuff in that, dawn dish liquid, and Windex kills them. This only brought me temporary relief. :( I'm on to my bleach or borax and peroxide baths now, I mean what else is their to do. Then I live in Cleveland, Oh Everywhere I look now that I know the signs, I see people scratching their noses, ears, and hairlines. I think its a conspiracy/epidemic cause they are complete strangers. My family thinks I'm losing it when I'm just more intelligent than them (honestly). They all have an excuse for it cause they have it too. they say "oh I have eczema, allergies" an so forth so, when I do finally get rid of them I will no longer go around my family. It's sad I know. If I told you how long I've had them you'd do a backflip. I have an uncle who committed suicide and I think I know why now. On bad days I have considered it cause this is no way to live. I was just about one of the last people to see him and guess what he was doing? Washing his clothes looking very sad. This was in 1996.

Scabies can not live in any orifice of your body.
Ears: The wax will trap and suffocate them
Eyes: They will drown
Mouth: Drown, eaten alive or digested.

Anatomically they are not made to survive those conditions.

Yes permethrin creams are ineffective against scabies if you were misdiagnosed or had them for some time, it seems scabies builds up some kind of layer of skin to protect them and their eggs, taking baths every day is smart because it will help you get your skin down to its initial layer which will make treatment easier, just continue using sulfur products and bathing and you will see improvements day by day. Also use moisturizers but very thin layers during the day on your body but avoid areas with lessions. Scabies are more active and feed at night, it seems they like areas with moisture like you suggested ie. ears, mouth, nose, eyes area, and likely the treatments you are using are working and pushing them towards these areas because basically scabies treatments including sulfur and permethrin dry the scabies out.

Just keep up your bathing and sulfur treatments and hopefully your scabies goes away. It should get better day by day though.

Good Luck!

DID YOU EVER GET RID OF THIS

Try using sulfur creams and soaps if permethrin fails. You can put the sulfur above the neck up in places like your ears if you feel there are living there. If sulfur does not work you will need to seek a skin specialist and ask for oral Invermectin which is medication for more advanced cases of scabies. But the reason you likely can not get rid of it is because you guys keep passing it back and forth you need to treat everyone living within your household at the same time.
