I know using allergy pills helps dramatically with post scabies , but which one should I buy, lots of people say Benadryl but then other people say claritan. Which takes away itching the most but leaves you less drowsy, because I have children to look after so I can not be too drowsy. Is there any lotions you can suggest to help the spots that itch the most? I hae been using noxxeemaa is this okay ?

I have been using Benadryl with great success, it does leave me a bit drowsy at times but it is well worth to help fight off the itch and get some work done without always feeling annoyed. I am also a huge fan of epsom salts and cocoa butter vaseline the brown bottles. Great stuff

I have been using benadryl for my post scabies during the daytime because I want to know during the evneing if i still have them or not. I am going to start using tea tree oil baths at the evening and continue to use the benadryl for post scabies itchings during the day time. Hopefully this combination will get me through until my skin is healing better. I thought at first I had norwegian scabies because they were so hard to get rid of and so itchy. This is 20 times worse then having chicken pox as a kid.
God Bless everyone

Yeah, get epsom salts and some homeade sulfur for post scabies to help with itchiness and any spots that mite reinfect, the bathing part really helps exfoliate your skin.

I have been taking baths with some vitamin e and lavendar oil, this seems to really calm the post scabies itchiness. Also after being out of the bath I apply cocoa butter to the skin. This combiination seems to be great for my skin, though everyone has different kinds of skin so different things will work differentrely for everyone.

Benadryl makes me so sleepy and I nod off alot but it is doing a great job at killing off the itch, though at times I never know if I still have it or not because of sedative from the pill, then if I stop using it I feel itching again. Scabies is pretty annoying to deal with but this sedative stuff helps a little, but would like to get off of it as it makes me real tired and plays with my nerves.

Get that Naturasil creams on this forum, they give you a free bottle, this stuff is friggen amazing and you shed skin in days like a snake. The problem with scabies lies in they build your skin up, you have to get your skin down to its normal level which takes out all the debris and mites, without using this stuff your post scabies could last months to years. Trust me I dealt with scabies for over a year and post scabies lasted me months until I applied the Naturasil creams and then within days my whole body felt a huge relief as it gently and safely peeled over 10-15 layers off my skin. During post scabies you will notice that your skin is dry and you shed skin, which seems to happen fairly slowly even when you take a couple baths a day. The key is to get that Naturasil stuff and your off to the races. Be sure to use the blue banners you see around this forum cause they give you a free bottle. If you can not afford it the only thing I could really suggest would be to use 8 drops a night in a bath with tea tree oil, this stuff is pretty strong enough to slowly help you peel layers of skin. In my cases the post scabies was just as horrible if not as worse as when I had scabies, it kept on causing me to retreat with dangerous chemicals, my doctor told me I should work on making my skin more healthy in post scabies and suggested products like this. Hopefully this helps some of you guys struggling with this awful scabies skin ailment. Here is the link to the Scabies Skin Cream Site , it seems they now offer a trial of it free, if not click on the banners. Good Luck; Beth

I agree! Using exfoliators, luffas and clariton will help with post scabies, just watch out cause clariton masks the itching which could tell you if you have been reinfected or not. In alot of cases clariton works against people as they become reinfected again and do not know it because they are not feeling the itching. I would use clariton for 2 weeks following initial scabies treatment and then lay off of it for a week so you can get some feedback from your body if you are scabies free or reinfected.
