Two things that I found were very helpful in my bout with scabies were bathing in epsom salts for 45minutes a day , I would add about 2 cups to my bath. When i wasnt bathing I was using avvenno apricot scrub body wash to help bring all the fecal material to the surface of the skin. Great stuff...

Anyone else have usefull products they used?

I use epsom salts also, if you use more then 2 cups you will have a hard time breathing in your bath. So seeing how epsom salts are from a form of sulfer I would think this is great to heal the skin and kill off any mites that mite be near the surface? I really love these salts they are so relaxing. I am able to get sleep when bathing about 11pm for 30 mins with the salts.

Epsom Salts in a hot bath is so relaxing. Temporarily takes your mind off things and helps cure your skin at the same time. That is why people bath in the sea because of the salts. The healing properties are great.

Epsom salts is great! Kinda of expensive though I get like 200kg for like 5$ that last about 4 baths with the recommended 50kg per bath, well its not that expensive just the weight and size of constantnly having to buy it. They have a kind with lavendar also it is super relaxing! This is something everyone with scabies should use in a bath each night before bed, it will help you get some sleep and benefits your skin.

I used to buy those 2kg jars of epsom salts, they would last me about 3-4 baths after a few months I got sick of lugging those things back from the pharmacy and switched to adding 8 drops of tea tree oil and 4 drops of lavendar, this seems to be helping my skin recover alot better, though this will not kill scabies it is great to use for post scabies. Tea tree oil undiluted and put on your body is a no no, this stuff stinks so much and actually dry damages your skin, so I suggest you just use no more than 8-10 drops within your bath soak and make sure you soak for about 45minutes.

I found the epsom salts did work somewhat, unfortunately it is a journey bringing these things home each week as they come in 4kg containers and are heavy and you need about 500g per each bath. They contain a different form of sulpher and epsom salts can be basically summed up as a home sea salt bath. They will not kill scabies though, they will repair the skin slowly over time though.

Yes epsom salts are like sea salt, very good for healing the skin, make sure to sit in them for 45-1hr long, dont waste them with 15-25 min baths, and use them in the evenening like 10-11pm, best time you could drown some stragglers. I would also suggest you get that exfoliator stuff on the blue banners all over this site, it works great and you lose layers in days, it brings your skin to its first layer, they also give you a free trial of the stuff. I think its called Dermasis, if you click the banner you get a deal or something.

Yes, epsom salts will defintely help your skin heal in post scabies, they are commonly used in retirement homes and for the elderly as they do miracles for dried/scaley skin. My mother suggested I get a few bags when I had scabies last month, they definetly heal the skin and are pretty cheap. I paid about 3$ for a 2kg bag
