Scabies is one of the commonly occurring skin diseases, caused by the parasites burrowed in the surface of the skin. The rash is the most common symptom of the condition and hence it also happens to be a feature accompanying other skin diseases such as impetigo, eczema and hives. The scabies rash is different and is found on the less exposed parts of the body. This disease is contagious in nature and therefore could be transmitted through direct skin contact.

Scabies cannot be treated with lice treatments for the reason that it consists of 1% pesticide, whereas scabies would require a prescription with at least 5% pesticides. You need to approach a physician, so as to obtain a prescription of such drugs. Such treatments are to be applied on the body from the head to the toe and left overnight. If there is an infested individual in the family, this treatment is highly recommended to all the family members.

There are some people who suggest that regular hot showers would kill the scabies. However this cannot kill the underlying eggs of parasites and hot showers would only reduce the itchiness of the rash.

The occurrence of scabies is usually attributed to poor hygienic conditions, which is not true. You might get infested by coming into direct skin contact with the infected individual and might also get it by sharing accessories with them. Scabies could be treated with appropriate attention and following the treatments, while avoiding contact with other individuals.

There are numerous different ways to kill scabies naturally instead of using dangerous chemicals such as permethrin. If your looking to kill your scabies with 3 items from your grocery store within 24 hours you should visit http://ScabiesHomeTreatment.com

A common misconception about scabies would be that you do not get them on your head. This is untrue as I had them on my scalp and it was not lice! Another common misconception about scabies is that you can treat them with tea tree oil! This is very untrue as I spent thousands of dollars using tea tree oil, it is very misleading as it makes your skin not itch and you think its working, you will be let down hugely as it does not work and just masks the scabies problem, not to mention it sticks you and your house up so much people no longer will not want to be around you. I am sure there are many more scabies misconceptions, theories and such...
