Okay I have been going through this for 6months now and am concerned that I may need to leave my living place. Currently we are on a 1 year lease but I could probably break the lease as it is summer here in miami. Do you think I should just rent a hotel for a few weeks and have a pesticide sprayed inside while I treat at the hotel? Any opions, how long would be safe.

Personally I had a spare bedroom that I basically turned into my new bedroom and abandoned the old one. This seems to be working great as it seems I am getting no new pin prick biting which means no new straggglers are on me. It also helps me stay away from everything I was touching on a regular basis. You can also buy washable keyboards for your computer they are really cheap like 15$. Covering and sealing everything is great to do before you treat then dont touch for 2 weeks. Why risk the risk of reinfestation.

If you can afford to move temporarily for a couple weeks while you treat yourself of the scabies I would do so, if not buy lots of borax and clean clean clean and do more cleaning. Scabies is pretty hard to get rid of in your environment.

Two weeks should be a significant time that would kill off all the scabies mites that mite be living in your home environment. Anything longer than this isnt necessary. I do suggest during that time you make sure you get a complete kill on the scabies mites that are living on your body. After this you should no longer have to worry about getting reinfested. Scabies can only live off their host for about 3-7 days maximum, the other 7 days would be insurance as some cases reported the scabies mites could live longer off the host if in the rite breeding temperature and conditions.

In a normal case of scabies you would only need to leave your household for about 4-5 maximum, this would be enough time for the scabies to all completely die off within your environment. Scabies can only live like 3-4 days without being on the skin, in some exceptions a little longer but like I said in a normal scabies infestation you should be fine after 4 days.

If you have lots of space just set up your living area in a different area of your house for a week or two until you know you are not infected, this will give you a chance to clean up the area you lived in before scabies. Post scabies itches alot like scabies but you should always keep up the cleaning and stuff to avoid scabies reinfection. Keep an eye out on your feet and hands as this is the primary spot for reinfection. Avoid touching people also

Rent a nice hotel for like 5 days ( nice because in alot of cases this is where people catch scabies from shitty motels or hotels) then treat yourself day 1 and again day 5. Get some of those raid bug bombs and place in your home before you leave and once you return home go on a huge cleaning spree with bleach and lysol. This should be enough to put you in the clear and scabies in the clear.

If you are well off I would seriously consider moving if you live in like a condo or apartment, from my experience these things can be pretty nasty to get rid of. Or you could just like temporarily move out for a few weeks and treat yourself and then your environment should be fine.
