It would be pretty silly not to buy plastic coverings for your mattress pillows and even for your clothing that your not wearing. Why give them a chance to breed more, take every precauition to smoother these things. Rumour has it they can live dormant in your carpets or bedding for months. Why take a chance head over to your nearest walmart or zellers and buy some. You can also shamppoo all your rugs and furniture once a week this wil also help.

Yuppers, suffocate these little things and stay away from anything you have touched over the last month. If you can move into a hotel or motel for a couple weeks to assure your not reinfested from your living quarters! That is if you are having trouble getting rid of the infestation which would mean you were misdiagnosed for awhile or have thick skin.

Yeah I have to agree, Scabies can be pretty expensive to get over with all the creams and stuff , it would be a shame not to head to your local walmart to get some plastic bedding to use until your cured. Good luck with scabies nad post scabies

Or if you have a steam cleaner you can add some borax or enzyme solution which should be enough to kill the scabies on any mattress's or furniture that you may have. But I would also go a step further and get the plastic bedding to protect yourself further against any kind of scabies reinfestation. Also remmeber that post scabies will feel like an active case of scabies because of the allergies to your skin and chemicals.

Yeah you can get them fairly cheap at places like Walmart or Zellers. This was one of the first things I did, I could not stand thinking that the scabies mites were still in my bedding and mattresses. Scabies are really annoying to have so be sure you do things properly the first time around. Post scabies isnt half as bad as scabies but still kinda rough at times.

Good luck to everyone struggling with scabies

God Bless

I agree this is the first thing you should start doing before scabies treatment is start cleaning your environment and killing them within it. Typically you should definetely wrap your mattress or any furniture you frequent. Scabies like to live in warm places with folds and stuff.
