Ivermectin is a prescription medication taken as a pill to kill scabies mites and their eggs. However, in the United States, treating scabies with ivermectin is considered an unlabeled use of the medication.
People who have a severe or resistant form of scabies infestation, such as crusted (Norwegian) scabies, may be prescribed ivermectin in combination with medication applied to the skin, such as permethrin. It can be particularly helpful for treating HIV-infected people who have scabies.
Ivermectin may help get rid of or prevent scabies for people in group living situations, such as those who live in nursing homes.

Im pretty sure you need a prescription to buy invermectin even in the united states. It is not a protocol drug to treat scabies however doctors have been prescribing it to certain patients who are having troubles getting rid of scabies. Invermectin is a medicine that removes parasites from the body, so it certainly can kill scabies mite.

I do not think you can buy it anywhere online without a perscription, if you find it , it will be a russian scam site and you will never receive it, there are alot of stores online that sell it and send it from pakistan, it will never come. And you will receive a letter from the border or whatever stating that this is documented incase you try to inport illegal drugs again or something along those lines. Its not worth it as that pill doesnt work anwyays...

I have bought equimax tabs from my local farm foods outlet . each tab contains 20mg invermectin .150mg praziquantel. I took one 9 days ago and had no side effects , 8 tabs cost 20 GBP . i WAS DESPERATE , I have had undetected scabies for months . just taken one more , doctors haven,t got a clue how bad this is .

What is ivermectin called in Canada? Like stromectrol or something? I have heard of it somewhere around here, it was basically used for river blindness and I think something to do with horses.

I think that is rite, Stromectol or something, im not sure if they carry it everywhere in Canada, it is just another version of Invermectin but by a differnet company. These things are meant to help horses kill parasites and helps with river blindness. Not really sure on how doctors feel about people using it.

Yeah some people have to take invermectin and external treatments to kill scabies, usually people with really severe cases. I do think in Canada its called Stromectol , if anyone know let me know I have a friend who is trying to find it online. I have been using sulphur treatments and they also work great and dont damage you skin. Good luck to everyone dealing with this scabies nightmare I know how it feels I had it about 5 years ago from a hotel.

I tried buying it in Canada online and kept on geting scammed by fake pharmacy sites. You need a prescription for the pill because it is dangerous and used for river blindness. Goodluck buying it online as you will never be able too.

Hi, I'm so anhappy because I have scabies for a months;( Just go back..again and again, Don't no way??? i', so tired ..so anhappy, bad.. clining house every day, Can't anymore.. so, please tell me, can I use Ivermectin for Horse or Dogs??(i'm don't speak english, sory:) ) I'm 23 and have 50 kg, how much can use?? You can get it from doctors in the United States. You should just use sulfur treatments as they are easier and more effective. I beleive Invermectin was initially used in animals and for river blindness, I am not sure even it is even prescribed nowadays!

Please use under instruction from doctor or pharmacist. Dose is 200mcg per kg for scabies repeated after two weeks in severe cases. In bad cases topical treatment may be required.also. Be aware if you are sharing your home, all have to be treated and all of your furnishings require cleaning or covering for two weeks to kill remaining eggs or you will be reinfected. You and all you have close contact with need to start treatment at the same time and also treat bedding and furnishings, the might can live for a few days without host.Hope this helps. Failure is almost sure if you do not use infection control procedure. Good luck..

You need to see a physician first and then book an appointment for a skin specialist to get Invermectin prescribed in the United States. I would just try Naturasil scabies creams and sulfur soaps as they will kill your scabies within a night and are the most effective in killing mites.
