Beg bugs are parasitic insects that survive off of human blood. They feed exclusively on the blood of warm blooded animals. The name 'bed bug' comes from the insect's preferred residence of houses and especially peoples beds or areas where people sleep, like box springs, mattresses and bed frames. The bed bugs can leave a bite which will also leave a rash that may look like swollen pimple like bumps on the skin.

These bugs can give you many health hazards such as skin rashes, allergic reactions and even psychological problems. Bed bugs will typically be a reddish brown color with an oval flat shape to them, they are also wingless insects. These bugs will pierce the skin of the human target with two hollow feeding tubes, one tube injects its saliva which has a numbing effect, while the other withdraws blood from the host. Bed bugs are attracted to the hosts carbon dioxide, warmth and even moisture. They have been known to infest luggage, clothing, furniture, bedding, mattresses and anything made from fabric or wood.

Bed bugs can infest department stores, hospitals, jails, shelters, movie theatres, public housing, moving vehicles, motels and even cruise ships. The best way to start dealing with bed mites is to seal everything such as clothing and bedding to ensure you start attacking the heart of the problem. Remember that bed bugs like to stay close to the human host because it is their food supply and they will normally come out to feed during the evening when you are asleep. Natural home remedies are suggested in comparison to chemicals treatments as they are less harmless to the human dwelling within the environment.
