With the recent increase in the bedbug epidemic, it is important to identify the role of pets in attracting as well as distributing bedbugs. All pet owners would like to know whether bedbugs would bite their pets or if pets are responsible for transporting the bedbugs.

To begin with, bedbugs aren’t found in pet waste or pet food. Furthermore, these creatures survive on the human blood since it is difficult for them to suck blood through fur. Therefore, any warm blooded animal in your house could act as a magnet to bring these bedbugs out of their hiding locations. While dealing with infestation, most steps are taken to drive the bedbugs out of the room. However, factors such as pheromones and body heat would guide these bugs to places where your pets reside.

In case if the human hosts are not available, bedbugs would feed upon animals. Pets that have bald spots or display scabs from mite irritations or flea are more vulnerable to bedbug bites. The belly is the most affected area on your pets’ body since it contains less fur as compared to the other parts and comes in frequent contact with the ground. Bedbugs do not reside on the host; instead they climb on the host only while feeding and then turn back to their hiding places. Therefore it is less likely for your pets to transport these bugs from one place to another. A majority of pesticides that are designed to repel or kill the bedbugs are harmful for use on the animals.

The easiest way to kill Bed Bugs is to use the proper treatments that actually work, I realize this is a problem that requires urgent attention so if you want to get rid of your bed bugs visit: http://www.BugBedTreatment.com
