Scabies is an extremely contagious skin infection caused by a parasite known as the mite – Sarcoptes scabiei. Symptoms of this infection include severe itching and rashes appearing along the arm, on the soles of feet, or across the hands or fingers. Scabies, derived from the Latin word scabere, is literally interpreted to mean “scratch.” Pregnant females will find a way to penetrate the host’s stratum corneum by burrowing into the outer most layer of the skin and depositing their eggs. Within a week, the eggs hatch into larvae and begin to burrow along underneath the skin, as they morph into a “nymphal” stage. As a result, S-shaped trails accompanied by small insect bites begin to cover the infested areas. Norwegian scabies, more commonly referred to as “crusted scabies,” is a more vicious form of this infection. Mites, numbering in thousands, infest the host’s skin, causing dark, scaly rashes and thick crusts to overwhelm the skin’s surface.

Unfortunately, there is currently no vaccine available to prevent scabies. However, there are mass treatment programs that recommend the use of topical permethrin or orally ingesting ivermectin as a means of reducing the risk of scabies. If already infected, using permethrin cream would be the first treatment of choice, as it is the most effective in treating the infection. On the other hand, ivermectin provides the perfect treatment for crusted scabies, along with the use of a topical agent. These mites equally infects all races, ages (especially children), and socioeconomic classes throughout the world, in various climates. However, these parasites are more often found within crowded, unhygienic living conditions. Globally, an estimated 1% to 10% of the population is said to be infected with scabies. The rate of infection increases as high as 50% to 80% in especially vulnerable areas. Diagnostic tests include an ink test, in which a doctor applies black or blue ink to suspected areas of infection with a felt-tipped pen. If there are mites present, ink may be revealed seeping into their burrows once the ink has been cleaned off. Immediately treat the infected individual, as well as scanning those who had been in close contact with that person.

There are numerous different ways to heal scabies naturally instead of using dangerous chemicals such as permethrin. If your looking to kill your scabies with 3 items from your grocery store within 24 hours you should visit --> http://ScabiesHomeTreatment.com
