maccus, sprinkling a handful of borax should be sufficient , and won't float everywhere. A cup or two is required per room. I leave it down till the next time I vacuum. Then I do it again. So I keep it on the carpet all of the time. It doesn't show much unless your carpets are dark. Hope that helps

Actually I stay with some of my friends , I am trying my best to use the borax method the way you have mentioned, I think it will be easier once I shift to my own house, I have been to dermatologist many times to get a proper diagnosis of scabies since it’s many years I have it now.

maccus, I hope your laundry is separate in the boarding home and no one else catches it. The other threads are well meaning but go around and around. No one should have to live with this for years. There is a cure for this definitely, I have read a lot about this on net .

I seriously do not know where I was infected with scabies, it can be the gym or any other place or may be even any of my friends, since I am aware that it a highly contagious disease.

Vaccuuming with Borax will certainly keep them from living in your carpeting and will even kill stragglers that may be lurking in your carpets or misplaces from scratching or itching of the body. This is a great precaution to take while dealing with scabies and even after scabies to prevent reinfection.
