That is likely the mites debris surfacing to the top of the skin. Do the specks look like birthmarks almost? Trying using exfoliating products that will help bring that stuff to the surface quicker. The itching of scabies does not just come from the mite, for the most part the mite is so small that you may only notice its itching during the evening, the mites debris under the skin is what causes itching in post scabies until your skin can surface it. Basically your skin is allergic to those brown specks your seeing under the skin. Are the brown specks where you think you were infected the most? I remember dealing with alot of granule objects like salty feeling almost as I exfoliated my skin.

Try out that Dermasis stuff you see all over this forum, they give you a free trial and it exfoliates all that stuff fast and completely stops itching instantly. It is a very great product for post scabies, I probably would of went nuts for 6months of post scabies without it. Also if you were misdiagnosed with something or never treated your scabies rite away you should really get it, as you likely have a good buildup of mite debris that needs to surface.

Yeah they kinda look like moles or birthmarks, I sure hope I am in post scabies now as this is driving me nuts. Does anyone know if the regular vaseline works for post scabies? My skin is very sensitive in the first place which is making this scabies thing a disaster.

True, those are the remenants of the scabies which could be the mite debris but is most likely the fecal matter, overtime this may fade away or completely go away, but in alot of cases those markings will remain for life. Even the stretch type burrow marks that are experienced with scabies in some cases will never go away. During my post scabies I got some stuff for the burrow marks, these pads on tv called smooth away, they do a pretty good job at slowly buffering them out, I also tried using bio oil for scabies/post scabies scarring and it did nothing, vitamin e would work better for scabies scars than bio oil did. Smooth away= good buy , dermasis skin exfoliator ( click the banner on this forum you get a free trial) = Awsome and Bio Oil (orange oil) = Doesn't do anything. Also taking baths with skin conditioning oils can help restore the mouisture and repair your skin.

Good Luck;

Yup this is associated with post scabies or the debris they leave, in some cases your skin will eventually work it out and to the surface, in some other cases it will never go away, think of them as birthmarks.

I have these brown scabies spots also, the funny thing though is they only appeared on my shoulders and hips and I know I had scabies on other parts of my body cause I could feel them. Can anyone explain why this is?

In some cases these will go away and in some cases they wont. I had a few that eventually went away from showing with a loofah cloth for over a year, others were more visible on my arms, some i used nail cliplpers and cut them up as they are near the very top of the skin once you exfoliate your skin down to its original layer. You could probably even pay for some kind of laser surgery to remove them aswell if you wanted to but this would be hugely expensive. There is also these creams called bleaching creams you can buy which help fade sports, blemishes and scares, this stuff works really well as it contains oyster shell powders, I noticed the markings dramatically lighten within a week of using this. I would also suggest you get bars of sulfur soap as this will help get your skin down to its original layer. Here is the site below where I got some sulfur soaps:

Get Sulfur Soaps and Creams

Anyways the first thing you shoudl do is use the sulfur soaps daily and exfoliate with them using a loofah in circular motions. Then you can use the bleaching cream daily on the spots and watch them dissappear.

Hope this helps;

Judy

I've been noticing these brown spots aswell. They basically look like tiny moles, but are darker and smaller. But, I knew it wasn't moles, because moles just don't appear randomly like that. I just recently self-diagnosed myself with scabies (thought it was bedbugs at first due to the bites and rashes) and went to the doctor and got some cream. The doctor visit was completely disappointing, to say the least. I was simply given a "I don't know" response, without an hints to what it was. Luckily I did my research on the Internet beforehand, and had an idea. I'm hoping that this will go away easily due to the cream, but after doing research, it seems I may have a long battle on my hands. It's also possible that I've infected my family members aswell. Although they haven't had symptoms, it could be in the early stages. I will ask them to apply the cream too, and hopefully prevent any future problems. These things have not only caused me physical damage, but psychological damage aswell. I can't even tell you how many times I heard "You're just being paranoid" or "Are you sure it isn't fleabites?" - No, I've had pets all my life, I know fleas don't cause rashes like this. Also, about these brown spots, no bites/rashes are usually around it, which threw me off. I have no clue how I got scabies, but since it started on my hands, I can only assume it was from giving an infected person a handshake. But, due to the lateness of their symptoms, it's nearly impossible to pinpoint who.

Yes you should defintetly treat your whole family at once or you will be passing it around like a game of hot potato. In most cases it is hard to pinpoint scabies because the symptoms and signs typically don't appear till a couple weeks later once the mites and their debris start making the skin allergic do signs start appearing such as lessions and itchiness. Make sure you get lots of sulfur soap and use that well into post scabies as it will kill any straggles, prevent future outbreaks and it will heal your skin and reduce the brown marks. From my experience seeing many scabies patienst sometimes the brown marks easily go away with use of sulfur and daily exfoliating with loofahs and in some cases where the scabies is more severe the brown marks may remain for years or their entire lifetime.

Hope this helps!

Thanks these creams worked. I am finally seeing the brown marks fade away quickly and the scaling skin is also gone away. I thought I was going to have this exzemma type post scabies skin and the brown marks forever. I am still using the bars of soap while I am showering and they are making the lessions go away also.

You can also try putting a drop of vitamin e each day on the scarring areas and this would make them fade. I would tell you to try bio oil but I can save you some money as that stuff is less effective than vitamin e. I have also heard good things about using cocoa butter in post scabies to help take the blotchiness out of your skin. I was blessed to have detected my scabies rite away.

Good Luck
