Hey guys, just trying to get some advice before I try tackling this scabies problem once again. I am going to be using sulfur products but was curious to what moisturizers you guys prefer for post scabies for taking away the itch and healing my skin. I have heard some people say use cocoa butter and other people go for thicker gels such as aquafor or that vaseline gel. I understand some of the thicker ones have the potential to smoother any mites that may have survived or young scabies but these are simply way to messy for me to use as I have things to do day by day. My question really is what would be a good moisterizer for post scabies that is similar in texture to cocoa butter?
Thanks

Use cocoa butter! It works wonders for healing the skin, adding vitamins to the skin and cocoa butter is known to slowly fade markings and stretch marks. I have tried using other things such as baby oil and the vaseline gels and they did nothing but make my skin worse! You can also rub the moisturiziners in thin layers and use circular motions and you will feel some of the scabies debris surface from under the skin!

I agree cocoa butter is the best but make sure to only apply it thin and stay away from areas with fresh lesions it will just make them worse or clog your pores.

My advice for post scabies is to get 3 things and that is all you will need 1. Scabies Sulfur soaps2. Epsom salts 3. Cocoa butter Shower each day using the sulfur soaps and then towel off dry and apply light layers of cocoa butter but avoid areas with any active lesions, when I say lightly I mean lightly cause you will just clog your pores making things worse as your skin is already likely damaged. Then in the evening take a 30 minute bath with one full cup of epsom salts which will help your skin heal and surface any debris that is still under your skin. Out of the 3 items the 2 you can get at any pharmacy and you can get sulfur scabies soaps here. Hope this helps!
