Does anyone know if you can get scaibes on your scalp or face? Or if the permethrin creams make you itch days after applying them like you had normal scabies?

Yes the fact that people say scabies can not live on your scalp or face is a myth, I think myth evolved becasue on the boxes of the dangerous permethrin products such as Kwelleda-P and Nix state that you should only apply the creams from the neck down, this is because these chemicals are so dangerous and can neuroligically affect a person for life, this is why they suggest you keep them away from your head and mouth. I would not suggest using these permethrin creams to treat scabies in the first place, I tried them years ago and almost felt sick immediately for weeks, I ended up treating me and my daughter naturally. They suggest you dont use those creams from the neck down, on pregnant women and children. If you do some investigating you will find thousands of people saying their are resistant and they actually had more skin problems because of the permethrin creams.

Scabies can live on the face. It is just not as severe. I have recently been diagnosed with scabies and I also have scabies on the face. My face would itch and sometimes go numb. I can see red marks that is itchy.

I believe the natural oil on your face prevents it from spreading.

Just use any kind of sulfur cream or soaps that contain more than 10% sulfur! Sulfur is 100% effective in killing all types of mites including scabies mites, rat mites and even bird mites which are more difficult to treat! Other chemicals given for scabies can not even be used above the neck as they can cause neurological problems and are very dangerous. This is why these chemicals are not permitted to be used on children and pregnant women! I think many studies over a decade ago lead to treatments like Lindane from being pulled from the shelves in over 400 countries.

Check it out its not very safe stuff!

When I had scabies I had them on my jawline and on the top of my ears so you can definetely get them on your face! Just use sulfur treatments followed by lots of moisturiznig during the day time, light layers of creams though so you are not clogging yoru pores around areas with lesions.

I think in most cases they only happen below the neck, in more severe or progressive cases of scabies they may occur above the neck and even on the scalp. Whatever you do, never use pesticides above the neck as it can result in neurological problems.

I had them on my ears when I had them, so yeah they are not secluded to your body or below your neck. My doctor did a skin scrapping and did confirm I had active scabies mites on my ears...
