If I sat in a bath for say 4 hours during the evening time would this kill the scabies? Cause I read that they need to breath and they are most active during the night. Has anyone tried stuff like this to kill scabies?

Nah, it is likely scabies can live without breathing for awhile. They obviously need oxygen but I would think that they could survive many hours wihtout it because they are an electosyte parasite. You will need to treat scabies as they are very difficult to get rid of if you were misdiagnosed or did not treat rite away.

It does help for post scabies having 2 baths a day roughly about 45minutes each, you can try adding 8 drops of tea tree oil or maybe 8 drops of lavendar oil or even a cup of epsom salts. There will not kill scabies but help repair your skin and prevent secondary skin infections which are famous after people have scabies.

Thanks! The epsom salts have been helping alot and letting me get some rest. The only problem though one full cup is like 4 baths in a 2kg bag. It is kinda expensive and I hate always having to buy it, so I am going to try some lavendaar oil in a bath and see how that works.

Bathing will not kill scabies, it will help with the post scabies skin though. Taking baths will help loosen the scabies debris that is left under the skin, stuff such as the mites fecael matter and the dead mites themselves, this is what causes your skin to itch as you are allergic to it. The scabies themselves do not make you itch as they are too small, unless you have a case of norwegian scabies I have heard that they are pretty aggressive and can be felt moving throughout the body. In cases of norwegian scabies you are going to want to use sulfur products as they will penetrate the skin, you may even also need invermectin to take internally.

You can even try taking a bath in warm water mixed with 1/2 a cup of baking soda, this will make your skin extremly soft, open pores which may help surface dead mites and their debris faster. I would also suggest using sulfur soaps and loofah while you shower. There is also this foot bath stuff by Johnson's called foot soap "soothing foot bath", this stuff contains borax, iodide and bran and will soften your skin up and it also releives itching. I know when I had scabies I used alot of sulfur to treat my scabies and during post scabies I used alot of the sulfur soaps and the Johnson;s foot bath. Seems to be a great combination.

It would only make your skin worse and likely more hostable for scabies. No bathing or showering alone will not kill scabies but bathing can be excellent for the skin after scabies treatment as it can help the skin surface the debris which is making is allergic. try using a cup of epsom salts in your baths of half a cup of baking soda, both are excellent specifically the epsom salts because they contain sulfates and healing properties.
