This past winter I was using my heated mattress pad. I thought I was starting to get electric shocks from it. It was scabies on the back of my neck, my back and the back of my legs that would start biting and digging in to get away from the "heat" . After finally going to the doctor and doing the permethrin treatment 2 times I am pretty sure I am cured. I still have itching after 3 weeks but no more biting when I lay on my heated mattress pad. I am pretty sure if you throw your clothes in a hot dryer for a while they die.
I think I contacted the scabies at a well know hair salon. It started on the fold of my ear and then into my scalp line first.
