If you recently noticed that you feel itchy in the morning and that there are small blood stains on your bed sheets, then maybe you should take into consideration the possibility that you have bed bugs. Do not worry, because you can get rid of this pest quite easily and just because you got them doesn’t mean that you are a dirty person. They can live just well in clean as well as in dirty places. The thing that attracts them is food. If you were not aware of this, the food is you in this case. They feed on blood and they are not the smallest creatures there are, so they can be seen. If you see small red-brown bugs near the bed or on the mattress, they are definitely bed bugs.

Now you need to think a little about your approach on these pests. If you don’t want to hire professionals to get rid of them, then you need to do it yourself. The first thing you need to do is find out where they are hiding. You will probably not have to look very much for them, as they will be either somewhere on the mattress, on an armchair’s folds or in bags and trench coats pockets and similar places. Clean all of these places by vacuuming thoroughly. This is usually enough to get rid of the bed bugs, as long as you make sure to eliminate each and every one of them, together with their eggs. Also, make sure that if you sleep in a motel or anywhere else when you are traveling, you will not get into your home with the luggage right when you arrive home. Unpack in your car and vacuum everything first, the pockets of your bags included. The clothes in the luggage together with the clothes in your closet or other linens need to be washed really good in hot water. Since you are probably an easy prey at night, bug mites will most certainly be around your bed, so why not try to put some sticky traps? Whether they will walk around or even get curious about them, the sticky traps will catch probably all of your bed bugs.

There is no better bed bugs treatment than hunting down each and every one of them and vacuuming. Also, make sure that once you empty the vacuum’s bag, you are not getting it back with bed bugs in it. If nothing works for you, maybe you should call professionals after all.
