Hi all, My doctor says I have scabies but I'm not sure if I do. I say this because I did not get itchy untill the day after I woke up with the red pumps and alot had clear sweat bumps like liquid that burst easierly. It's now been 5 days the bumps apeared and 98% of the itching has subsided. The bumps from 2 days ago they started to get white gooie liquid a bit like teenage pimples and if burst blood would follow through.
The other thing is I have had a fever 2 nights before I got the bumps and felt cold even when under my bed sheets so I put my electric blanket on low and woke up 2am sweeting a bit but was hot but still cold. The next night the bumps turned up I accidently had my electric blanket on high and woke up about 2 hours later about 11pm sweeting like a pig and felt dehydrated but when I got out of bed I still felt cold even though i felt hot. Each night I was wearing a binnie.
The next morning I woke up I only buy felling my head the I knew had the bumps, which I assumed was sweat bumps/pimples. After taking off my shirt and I could not believe it I had them on my front, back, sholders, neck, arm pits, side of body about 200-400 may be more with only a few on my legs and arms.
I did have a tummy ache for about 2 days before and felt weak on and off usaully morning and afternoon. Plus I was feeling the cold more easierly like it was colder then what others was saying it was for about a week before this all started, but that has subsided now.
And! A few days before all this started to happen my wife and I did visit a family that all there 3 children was just over or was on there last day of getting over chichen pox.
O yes I have never had chicken pox.
So can you see my predicament here?
All these three problems can have very much the same symptoms but what throws me is that where did the pain in tummy, coldness and week achy pain in muscles come from? would this be from a build up to chicken pox or just a virus that came and went at the same time?
During the visit to doctor I forgot to ask for a blood test for chicken pox as he was so sure it was SCABIES!
1. Does anyone here think I should persue a blood test to confirm it's not chicken pox
2. and is there any way to test if I have SCABIES or sweet bumbs instead?
