I know that a lot of people say that tea tree oil doesnt kill scabies,
I have read a lot of reports saying that its more effective than 5% prem cream.
With 5% TTO, all scabies mites were dead within three hours, whereas terpinen-4-ol alone required 11.5 hours for 100% mortality.Does use of Tea tree oil actually help scabies?

Even before I knew I had mites, just as protection from picking up something when I was barefoot.I was using a Tea tree oil /alcohol spray on my feet, not to treat anything,

I have to share my tea tree oil story. I bought and used it a few weeks ago ,I had heard that it helps with scabies I just applied it to the affected areas with a q-tip. Of course, it didn't help at all.

You need to make sure you get pure tea tree oil. Need to get the TTO from real good sources I bought some at cvs that was 'beauty oil' and heavily cut with other oils. don't use it on your cats, i'm not sure about dogs, but it can kill cats.

Yeah that tea tree oil stuff smells pretty hardcore, at times it was giving me breathing problems anytime I smelled some, It was great to put a drop on areas that had the pin prick type itches, it was instantly make them go away which was nice, it never killed them but would make them go away for hours. The stuff smells truly annoying but helps your skin somewhat..

Use Neem oil fo one. get The kind with a dropper. drink it in water, use it topically and in bath. smells bad. gentle, wont burn.

Clove oil. Dilute with oil or lotion to apply topically. Put a few drops in bath. too much will burn.

Dermasil kit works well. I ran out of it just before scabies was gone, could'nt afford more. The laps between treatments made scabies come back with a vengence. This time with more gross slime.

The best treatment, I finally figured out, is garlic and apricot scrub.use the scrub that contains salicylic acid. It brings out debri real well. First, grate a whole head of garlic on the smallest holes of a cheese grater. Smear it on every inch of your body. Let it dry all the way. Eventually it will start to burn. Grab the scrub and get in the shower. The debri will pour out! You might be astonished and a little frightened. It will be o.k! The thing to watch out for is super strong garlic. Your body, fingers, especially, thumb will burn bad. Mild garlic makes for a pleasant experience. Turn the water off while scrubbing. (except to rinse the slime and debri off your hands) You will run out of hot water. Don't scrub in one spot too long. If you have it bad, you might be in there for hours. You can't get it all out at one time so get some sleep. Neem oil, clove oil, garlic and apricot scrub.

St Ives apricot scrub is great to help exfoliate the skin in post scabies as it helps bring up the dead scabies mites and debris from within the skin. The dermisil soaps are better though as they have actual sulfur in them and the bars have exfoliant crystals within them, I like both as they really helped me in post scabies.

I didn't even have to use a loofah!

Tea tree oil does not work, I tried it for 6months using it diluted and non diluted and it does nothing. Australians just tout it as "cure all" for everything as it is a native plant they have that is found no where else I believe. The only things that will kill your scabies is sulfur creams which are natural and permethrin creams which are a pesticide. Depending on how severe your case of scabies is you may need one or the other, for more extreme cases of scabies sulfur is recommended because it is safe, effective and you can apply it full body including your scalp and face areas. Permethrin works only if you have been quickly diagnosed because the cream does not penetrate the skin well.
