Hi,
A few months ago I came into contact with Scabies, which was passed on to me via my now ex-girlfriend. After exposure I had all the Symptoms which Scabies causes, skin rash composed of small red bumps which affects specific areas of the body, which involve the webs between the fingers, the wrists and the backs of the elbows, the knees, around the waist and umbilicus, the axillary folds, the areas around the nipples, the sides and backs of the feet, the genital area, and the buttocks. Now symptoms had developed, starting with first itching, because this is the most common symptom of scabies, then followed by the red bumps. The itch of scabies was insidious and relentless. I found the itch is typically worse at night. But for the first few weeks, the itch is subtle and feels quite nice after you finish itching. It then gradually becomes more intense until, after a month or two, sleep becomes almost impossible. Therefore I went and visited my Doctor who confirmed it was Scabies. The Doctor gave me Permethrin 5% cream, which I was told to apply on day One and Seven. The reason for this is because the Scabies mite will die in the first Three days starting from day one contact with the Permethrin cream. You then have to allow 3 to 4 days for the Scabies egg to hatch and be exposed to the Permethrin cream which will have applied on day Six or Seven, which then breaks the cycle of the Scabie mite and kills them.
Now you will read a lot of people stating that Permethrin creams do not work. I can you for a fact they do, and please don not believe people who state the Scabies are resistant to the Permethrin. . You find their the ones who want to make money out of you. The problem I had and what a lot of people seem to be making is the same mistake of reinfecting there self. Now to avoid this from happing you need to be organised. Now this method might not work for you, but if you have the space please do this and I promise you it will end your Scabies.
* By your self six cheap tents, this must include Six sleeping bags and pillows. Do not use the clothing to sleep in when moving to the next tent to sleep in for the seven days.
* You must have Seven days worth of change of clothes. Never wear the same Item twice in one day. All clothing must be washes on 60 degrees this is including Pillows Bed sheets.
* You have can not use the same towels even the one that you use for drying plates know more then One day usage. Therefore fresh towels to be used everyday.
* You must apply the Permethrin cream every day for Seven days when you have showered or bathed, all over your body, expect your face. Also treat you head just in case there is Head Lice. Use Head Lice (Nix rinse, lotion - 1%. After hair has been washed with shampoo, rinsed with water and towel dried, apply a sufficient volume of creme rinse to saturate the hair and scalp. Also apply behind the ears and at the base of the neck. Leave on hair for 10 minutes before rinsing off with water. Also every time you wash your hands make sure you apply the Permethrin cream again to your hands.
*If you are in a relationship. Stop seeing your partner until the Seven days of treatment has finished. If you do see your partner then the Seven day treat will not work, due to reinfecting. Make sure you get everyone to do the above they have or show signs of been infected.
On day Seven of the treat meat you will find in okay to sleep in your bed once again and where all you clothes once again. As I stated above the Seven day cycle would of kill all the Scabies mites off. Also the Scabies mites can not live more than Three days with out a Host. Therefore your be able to go back to normal.
Now before I leave you, I must point some thing else out. It is very common for itching to continue after treatment for up to 2 weeks. That is because peices and parts and the fecal material from the mites is still under the skin and causing allergic reactions. Therefore you will have noticed most of the Red bumps gone, but you may see a few show up every now and then. Now do not worry, do not for get we all have spots every now and again.
I wish you all the best.
