Don't use tea tree oil it smells so horrible, you will smell like a hippie at first but then it will stink up your whole house and smell like you live with a mechanic. That is some powerful stuff no wonder they say it can cause breathing problems if you use enough of it. If your using it dilute it like 80-30 or just put 7-9 drops per bath.

Yes it is very powerful and can cause trouble with your breathing and heart if you use too much undiluted. But at the same time it is highly recommended to add 8-10 drops in a bath which will help kill off any straglers and prevent new ones from wanting to burrow into your skin.It also helps take off layers of your skin so the debrie can surface which will ultimately lead to less itching. Not to mention tea tree oil is great way to relax when added to a bath. And who with scabies does not want to relax. So yeah if used properly tea tree oil can be great. If abused tea tree oil can be costly and dangerous and like you said will stink your house rite up.

Hey , this stuff actually helped me not get reinfested by scabies, each and everytime I thought I had a pin prick type itch , you know not the typical itch but the biting kind. Well I would apply 2 drops directly to that area and I noticed I would not itch there no more. If I didnt put the tea tree oil there the itch would get worse and worse.

Yeah this stuff did help me alot but in all seriousness I was very happy to stop using it because the stuff smelled very bad almost like car gas or some kind of powerful gas. At times I actually got headaches from the smell of it undiluted. Nevermind putting tea tree oil on your skin for post scabies it was bad enough opening the small tea tree oil bottle and smelling it. By the way here the cost of tea tree oil is like 20$ for 30ml, its extremely expensive and stinks.

Honestly this tea tree oil thing is a sham. The plant is native to australia and goes by the name of meleluca tree and their are all these studies down in australia by scientists who have came to the conclusion that this is more effective treatment for scabies then permethrin or invermectin. The problem is that there is no actual studies to prove this, I mean we see their conclusions of studies but their is never shown a protocol for treatment. I think this whole think is a sham to market their product in the usa for mites and scabies. Sure it certainly would aid in post scabies skin infections but I am doubting that this is a cure for scabies. If anyone has proof of the results and the treatment steps please post them. Or else this tea tree oil is a scam and is not a cure for scabies so dont even bother with it. Did I mention it stinks

It definetely deceives you into thinking it is killing the scabies, but all it is really doing is neutralizing the itching or making them move somewhere else, the scabies dont seem to like it but at the same time it doesnt hurt them and possibly makes them stronger and more resistant.

So the doctor tells me I have scabies on my hands. He gave me this stuff to put on it. But it was anoying to use and wasn't working. SO I asked if Tea Tree oil worked and he said that he had heard about it working. So what I would do is put a 4-5 drops of tea tree oil on my hands and just like when you wash your hands with soap I just rubbed it in. At first it was sore but then eventually got better. I used it everyday morning and night for 4 days and I would put a few drops in a bath everyday 4 a week and a week later it was all gone. This might sound a bit to real and I realized that a lot of people cnt take the smell. But I love the smell actually. Lol. I grew up with my nan putting it on itchy bites and all. I know cockrouches don't like it and flies.

The problem though is it just masks scabies and does not actually cure it. The scabies build stronger and more resistant so you likely never got rid of them and scabies will just move away from that area of the skin. It is already proven tea tree oil only covers up the itching but does not kill the actual mite.
