Hello, I'm concerned about a dry skin and a little rash around my buttocks. My brother had scabies 60 days ago, and I noticed a month ago that a skin around buttocks is as I said dry and there is a little rash. Is it possible that I have scabies ? I dont have any other symptoms - no bumps and rash in other places and my butt isnt itchy, but I'm worried. Is it possible that the progress is really slow (30 days now )and I may have scabies or I'm just too worried. Thanks in advance.

Very possible infact I am almost certain this is what it is because scabies usually shows signs after 2-3 weeks of contracting it and when you treat scabies you are supposed to treat the entire family at the same time.

Ok, but is it possible that I dont have any bumps and dont feel almost any itching (I mean except a regular one) - and it's been a month since dry skin appeared (I should mention that I work in front of computer and go to swimming pool a lot), since then no other symptoms?

I experienced them more around the folds of my skin on my elbows, wrist area and waistline. Though I did manage to detect I had scabies pretty quickly so this could be why. From reading around here they seem to like certain areas of the body.
Good luck

Scabies will live anywhere on the body in which you have skin but in most cases they like certain areas unless the scabies are forced to find other places to live, this will generally happen during treatment the scabies will try to go into places where the creams can not penetrate such as mouth, ears and nose. It is suggested that you use sulfur creams and sulfur soaps or scabies treatments that can be applied above the neck. I recommend you get: Scabies Starter PackScabies Sulfur soapsGood luck! Jim
