Do you guys know if scabies can live on the face or scalp? Because I was told they cant and on the treatment box it says do not treat the neck and above. I am pretty sure I got them on my scalp as I can feel the itching. What do you recommend for people who have contracted scabies and have them on their head?

Certainly scabies can live on your face and scalp, its just not the typical areas they tend to live and only happens in more advanced scabies cases. Another reason people think this is because on some treatments it says do not apply from the neck upwards but this is just because those treatments contain pesticides and can be dangerous. You need to be using sulfur based treatments if you have scabies within the face or scalp area, these treatments are more effective anways.

You can get scabies sulfur creams and soaps here

That is also a good treatment protocol to follow if your not going to see a dermatologist!

Hope this helps!

Yes scabies can live on your face and in some cases they have been reported to go into your ears and mouth. This is in more advanced scabies cases and yes you should only be using sulfur to treat scabies above the neck.
