Itching can last for up to two weeks after successful treatment and does not necessarily indicate that the treatment failed. Repeat examination by a doctor in two weeks is recommended if there is persistent itching after treatment or in other cases when indicated by the physician.

Yes a scabies infection which was diagnosed rite away should typically last no longer in post scabies for 4 weeks, some people with more intense misdiagnosed cases can last for months even years, this is why scabies is known as the 7 year itch in some cases. I know this sounds dire but just be patient and you will be back to normal. Scabies is all about breaking the mites cycle.

I would suggest getting alot of epsom salts and cocoa butter and some clariton for post scabies. Remember to take some days off of the clariton after a few weeks to see if your sitll infected.

Yeah make sure you pamper your skin in post scabies, it is very important as your skin is in a real bad place after the treatments. Most people in post scabies deal with exzema which drys your skin, so it is very important to get your skin healthy and moisturized again.

If you can not see a doctor get some permethrin if you want to risk getting some kind of skin cancer later on. Permethrin is a very dangerous insecticide and thats what the doctor will prescribe anyways and you can get it at pharamacies without prescritipons. I would go with a natural way to kill scabies and save your skin...
