How would I know the difference if I have scabies or skin rosacea, to my understanding you cannot tell if you have scabies from itching within the first couple weeks up to a month, now rosacea has many of the same charateristics as scabies, they come in patches and look similar to acne. I have a fear that I may have scabies but I am also used to rosacea flare ups as I used to have an acne problem. Would there be any other way of determining whether I have scabies or it is my rasacea acting up?

I know after I had scabies I had some ezemma type areas on my elbows and knee areas, just make sure you pay particular attention to these areas and moisturize them so they do not become problematic later on. From what I know during post scabies alot of people deal with these types of conditions and some even get post secondary skin infections such as staph. This is why you need to continue to treat your skin with sulphur soaps until your skin returns to normal.

Scabies will create groupings of itchy bumps and will itch lots during the night hours, your skin will also become scaley in the places that they are burrowing, it just may look dry or like you have eczema. Lots of doctors misdiagnose scabies for eczema.
