How do you even determine what is post scabies and what is still scabies? Am I missing something, I know both can feel the same as post scabies still itches and scabies itches. To my understanding the soars stop popping up. Would this be the only sign?

Thanks

You will not get any new lessions and you will notice your skin restoring itself, if you have active scabies you will notice the itching at night time, generally in post scabies your skin still may be itchy during the daytime. The night time itching from live scabies mites would feel like this fluttering type of itch which you should be able to tell from a normal skin itchiness associated with like skin allergies. Scabies and post scabies is very difficult to deal with but with the right skin products it can be lessened alot.

I am not really getting any new scabies lessions but my itching came back after 2 treatments, I understand sometimes the treatment itself will make you itchy for up to a week later, but its been weeks and I am still itching from this scabies b.s. Is anyone dealing with the same issue?

During post scabies you will still itch as your skin is healing from the treatments and the mites debris under your skin, a common way to tell reinfection of scabies is to take a bath at night and you can feel them as they do not like water, you can also tell by intense itching at night time as they are more active. The post scabies itching would just be like regular allergy type itching, where active scabies itching would be like a fluttering itching, much like they are digging in your skin. It would be very hard to tell in post scabies to know if you are reinfected if you are using any type of allergy medication. I would suggest treat yourself, wait 2 weeks and then take a couple days off without using your allergy medication and then take the time to monitor what type of itching you are encountering. Also clear signs of reinfection would be new lessions developing and rashes, this would be after 2 weeks because in early stages of post scabies you may still see lessions because of the treatment or your skins reaction.
