Is it possible to have post scabies for months ? Because I do not have any lessions left and most are fading away but I am still bothered in particular areas with heavy itching which is very annoying.
Thanks

This is what I have read that after your treatment that is successful that you wil still continue to itch up to 4 wks. It is the scabies in your skin their feces and salvia that make you itch horrible.

Yup if you had scabies for 4 weeks before being diagnosed or started treatment it will likely take you 4-8 months in post scabies which feels like scabies. Some people have post scabies for years because their not taking the proper steps to remove the mites and their debris from underneath your skin. Remember the scabies mites themselves are too small to feel the itching as they move or burrow, the majority of the itching is allergy related to the mites and their feces under your skin.

Yeah the longer you go with scabies and not treating it the longer it will take to treat and the longer the post scabies will last. Some people it takes 7 years to get rid of scabies because they were midiagnosed, this is in rare cases ofcource like people with mental issues or the elderly.
