Just get yourself some Sulfur bars of soap they are about 10% and will help heal the skin, stop eczema and heal any lessions you have from the scabies and post scabies. The bars are available at the Dermsil store and ship within a week. I highly suggest you get these during and after scabies. Here is the link below:

You can also apply very thin layers of cocoa butter on your body during post scabies if your skin is really scaley and dry. Very thin layers is suggested because you do not want to clog up your pores which will lead to more skin problems and lessions. You could avoid applying it on areas with active lessions, this will prevent clogging the pores and causing more skin damage. You should also try changing your diet to include more items with vitamin e and vitamins that promote good skin health. Eat more fruits and vegetables and drink more milk.

I am getting these same symptoms about a week after treatment between my fingers and on my wrist, it seems like the skin is scaley and producing tiny water blister type pimples. Is this normal with post scabies?

When I had scabies all I remember the most important things were using the sulfur creams during the evening and overnight and lots of moisturizing the skin during the day time. This is what helped me eventually beat scabies. It also helps to constantly wash your bedding and clothing. This should be enough to beat scabies within a week or less.

The best thing for post scabies skin is sulfur soaps and cocoa butter moisturizing cream. This is the perfect post scabies combination.

This is typical. I dealt with post scabies eczema and dry skin for many months. Try having soaks in epsom salts they will help repair your skin and you can moisturize using cocoa butter but only use in thin layers if you are using it daily or it will just clog your pores and make your skin worse.

I had this same very problem as my elbows and wrist areas were key places they liked to burrow as you could see the skin was getting thicker in these areas. Also remember after the scabies treatments your skin is going to become very dry and will need moisturizing lightly each day. This will help and you could also use some kind of steroid cream to break the itching.

I had the same issues where the dryness was secluded to my elbows, feed and knees. This eventually does go away just use some moisturizers for a few weeks. Also I was still a bit itchy during post scabies but not that active scabies itchy so I am pretty sure it was from all the dryness.

Just use the Naturasil scabies creams and soaps here. They will help you kill both scabies mites and their eggs and also help you get through post scabies faster. Post scabies can feel alot like scabies as your skin continues to itch because of the dead mites and their fecal matter still under your skin. The sulfur soaps go a long way in helping you overcome the entire scabies infection a lot faster!

This is very common with post scabies as the skin is very rough because of the dryness from treatment and the damage the scabies mite did. You can use sulfur soaps to help in post scabies as they have great healing properties and can also kill and keep away any mites that may have survived treatment. You can also try using moisturizers during the day time but don't over do it especially on areas with lessions as this will slow down their healing.

I found that over moisturizing in post scabies just makes things worse unless you are only applying it to areas without any lesions. It postpones the lesion from healing and they actually get worse from my tests. What I do is use the sulfur soaps in the shower then make sure I am totally dry and spot treat using the sulfur creams during the day time only on areas which are itchy or have open lesions or bumps, in the other areas I apply a light layer of moisturizer so it is not clogging the pores causeing more pimple like wounds. Within a few days of doing this my skin is back to normal without any bumps or signs I ever had scabies. Pretty amazing since just a few days ago I was going crazy thinking my skin would never return to normaly. Anyways I have been itch and lession free now for over two weeks and am glad I took some advice on this forum and came across some threads. To anyone who is in a position like me where you have used permethrin cream and it has not worked and just made you itchier it is likely the permethrin does not penetrate your skin. I would suggest getting the scabies family pack and some extra sulfur soap bars and your nightmare will be over.

Here is the site I got them:

Scabies Family Pack and sulfur soaps

God Bless

Sulfur soaps are great in post scabies and for scabies. I would also suggest getting epsom salts at your local pharmacy and soak in it for 35minutes each night. The salts are like 4$ for 4kg bag which should be enough for 8 baths. The stuff does wonders for your skin. Others with scabies have had success with post scabies using sulfur soaps and taking baths with a few drops of Vaseline oil.

After scabies I used lots of sulfur soaps, cocoa butter and Clariton for a few weeks to ensure I never got scabies again and heal my skin!
