First, my knees, elbows, arms are very itchy, i asked my dermatologist what skin condition could i have, but my doctor does not have any idea yet so she asked me to have some lab. test, when i returned to her with the lab. results it was also the time when the rashes came out, that is the time she determined that it was scabies, she gave me permethrin and eurax lotion, citirzine and telfast. i get rid of it for only a month, but i have been re-infested. i read articles from this site and found out that sulfur soaps are great for treating scabies. i bought a Sulfur Zinc Oxide soap and used it but as soon as i'm done taking a bath my skin got itchy again. my question is: Is that how sulfur soap really works? that you got itchy after a bath (this is the first time i used the soap), my second question is: why is it that i'm the only one infested with scabies, when all my family members never treated themselves to prevent scabies from transferring to one another, and me and my brother even share clothing's, my younger sister sleeps beside me, my girlfriend whom i am with for most of the time that we constantly hug and hold hands never got infested. No one got infested with my scabies? why is it like that?

It is likely your whole family has scabies and you are passing it around like hot potato. Scabies is very very contagious especially for people living in the same environment thus why it is recommeded you treat your whole family at once, your doctor should have informed you of this but ofcourse doctors always sluff patients with scabies off as quickly as they can it seems. So you reinfestation likely came from another family member, you guys should all be treating at the same time so you beat the mites life cycle. I would suggest getting a sulfur family pack which should be enough to treat your family and your environment. And remember sometimes scabies takes a few weeks to show signs and symptoms such as groupings of lessions and intense itching primarily during the evening hours. Here is a link to the sulfur family pack:

Hope this helps!

Also remember that with scabies comes embarrasment and maybe other members of your family are too embarased to let you know whats going on. This is why you should be very open about it with your family or it could end up affecting you and lingering much longer then you would want. And trust me as scabies lives longer it only gets worse! So the best thing is to sit down with them all and come up with a gameplan.
