Another topical treatment is Ivermectin, but this must be used with caution, since it can be consider toxic to certain people and pets. For this reason, using lindane to treat scabies isn't as popular as it once was. Remember, when you treat scabies, be sure to not only treat the infected, but the entity the infected had come in contact with as well.
