I have been treating for about 3-4 days and notice new infections still popping up despite covering all areas and washing all areas. Is it possible for these to be infections that took place before treatment, but just hadn't got to the degree that they were going to show up yet?

Well many people report secondary skin infections after scabies such as types of staph infections. In a lot of cases though it is just the skin still irritated by the dead mites and their debris under the skin, so it is kinda hard to go on by lessions alone. I tell tale sign of an active scabies case is the itching in the evening hours which is active itching from mites movement as they are nightcrawlers.

Sounds like your likely re-infested with the scabies which is very common as you have to clean very well and ensure you applied the cream to your entire body or they will just come back. I think if your having problems with being re-infested you should consider using sulfur treatments as they are 100% effective against all types of mites and they are natural, plus they allow you to spot treat during the daytime which helps you kill scabies quickly. I tried using permethrin twice and it just made things worse (lesion outbreaks, more itching, felt sick), I then switched to sulfur treatments using soaps and creams and I literally beat scabies within a few days and they never returned again! I know how you feel as scabies can make you pretty desperate. Here is the website I bought my scabies sulfur products from as they have real sulfur: Scabies Sulfur Cream and Soaps

Thanks guys! This post helped me beat scabies once and for all. I was using the permethrin creams and they were not working, well they worked for what seemed to be a few days and the damn things just kept coming back in the same places, it wasnt until I started using the sulfur creams and soaps that I finally got rid of them for good! I am not sure why I kept on using that damn permethrin as it made me feel sick the night of putting it on and day after I felt like I was glowing like a nuclear reactor or some thing, that is a pretty errry cream to be putting on your body especially when it is not even working! Anyways thanks alot for the information as I now consider myself in post scabies and am still using the sulfur soaps and exfoliating with a loofah daily to help bring my skin back!
Thanks
