If I had scabies would it appear only on my thigh area and waistline? From what I understand most people first get them on their hands? Am I dealing with scabies or bed bugs? I am not seeing any huge welts but I am certainly getting biten during the evening hours as I am waking up during my sleep and scratching. Please let me know...

You can get scabies from anything around you including things you are wearing and sleeping on. They do not just start happening on the hands but I bet in a lot of scabies cases this does happen. Scabies will start developing clusters of lessions and you will start noticing intense itching primarily in the evening hours.

if you got them from sexual contact its very likeley they could start there, the worst parts on my body were my groin and ankles, hands and wrists were where mine started tho

Yeah it sucks that many people have a hard time knowing where they got scabies from because the scabies signs and symptoms don't show up for several weeks. We can only speculate where we got scabies but that is never enough...

I had the same problem when I contracted scabies. The scabies only seemed to be within my inner thighs and shoulder blades, not sure but seemed like they prefered these spots on me. I did end up getting them on my hands though after a week or so I started to develop little red dots that itch liek crazy.

Scabies has been known to appear on both sides of the body in a lot of cases, let's say you have it on your left wrist and left index finger, it is pretty common to also have the scabies on the right index finger area and wrist area as well. Also keep away from scratching yourself when you have scabies because that is a easy way to spread them even more around your body.

When I had scabies they started off on my hands and wrists but then moved to other places on my body very quickly, I beleive from itching and scratching msyelf they were spreading and moving to my back and shoulder area. I do think they prefer areas with more skin or skin folds as it gives them protection against us trying to scratch them off. They are very persistant though as it took me a couple rounds of treatment to kill them off. And make sure you clean like crazy!

Silenced

It doesn't necessarily have to be sexual to get them in those places thats not true. They just instantly search for warmth is all

Scabies like to live anywhere there is skin folds, extra amounts of skin or areas where clothing protects them or makes the area warm. This is why scabies likes places like webbing of fingers, wrists and waistlines.
