Just applied the Dermisil lotion to my son (5 1/2) tonight and there is a strong sulphuric smell. I guess I shouldn't be surprised since I knew that the product contains sulfur and that's what helps rid your body of the scabies. Just wondering how long the smell lasts and if there is anything I can do to lessen it, so that he doesn't have to go to school smelling like that. Also, I'd like to use the products too (to make sure I don't contact it from him, and to be able to cuddle, hug and kiss him without fear), however I work in a cafeteria during the day and am a server at a high-end restaurant at night and really can't smell like that at all. Any and all help and advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Yes sulfur does smell but to other people it will smell like a lemon limey type of smell. I would just get a good body wash with a powerful fragarence to mask the smell a bit, but my guess is no one will no as the sulfur has a rather nice smell in most cases. If I was you I would apply the creams overnight and then shower in the morning using the body wash using a loofah. This should work and if not use a bit of perfume!

I agree! The sulfur creams and soaps smell like a light lime fragarence which will go undetected as it smells kinda nice! I would apply the sulfur creams full body overnight and shower with the sulfur soaps in the morning and maybe follow it up with a body wash like suggested above. This should work fine! If you were using tea tree oil that is another story as that stuff you can smell from a mile away and it is not a pleasant smell! Keep in mind tea tree oil does not work for scabies anyways!
