I'm fifteen and I have eczema. I understand that eczema is an extremely common thing, but its hard to live with.
My eczema is somewhat severe. It fluctuates between okay-feeling to painfully bad. I have gone to a dermatologist many times in the past few years, and it just seems that the things she prescribes don't work. I've been on topical steroids ranging from very strong to mild. I've been urged to use moisturizing creams including AquaPhor, and only fragrance-free lotions.
When I use any of the topical steroids, it clears up almost completely after a few days. Unfortunately, the results don't stay long - lasting about 1-2 days before flaring up again.
When I use moisturizers religiously for a few days, it helps the dry skin, but will stop taking effect after a while. I've also been known to get huge, painful pimples all over my arms when using lotions. (Which has been mistaken for scabies twice by the doctor.)

I'm running out of ideas - any solutions or remedies would be helpful.
