I recommend you do both very well! Clean all your sheets, blankets, clothing and wash down all surfaces and items you may touch day to day with a bleach spray. Then clean every morning and night again. It is also good to put your bedding in the dryer for a half an hour before sleep.

You definetely want to clean both before and after, you should spend a whole day cleaning your house from top to bottom with a bleach cleaner to ensure your killing any scabies mites that may be on your items or surfaces, then you should bag up or seal anything laying around for a few weeks. Then you can treat and keep up the cleaning morning and night for a few weeks especially around areas you frequent like chairs or beds.

In most cases people keep getting reinfected from items or fabrics within their home as they neglect to really wipe down and clean everything. Also you need to be treating your whole family for scabies at the same time so you break the scabies mites life cycle and are not continually passing it back and forth!
