d'oh! d'oh! d'oh! d'oh! d'oh! My daughter was recetly diagnosed with scabies and I believe I caught it from her, we were all trated and have to repeat her treatment in a week but I keep seeing things about reinfestation. What can I do? I washed all the bed linens all the clothing we had been wearing, and moved all the stuffed animals and things like that into a trash bag and into the basement for a few weeks. What do I do as far as the couches and stuff like that to prevent this from happening again. The car seat and swing covers have all been washed as well.

You can go to the link below:

They have everything from mattress covers, pocket microscopes, sulfur soaps and scabies treatments for your household

Good luck!

For cleaning I suggest wipping everything down with something with bleach in it and as far as furniture goes you may want to not use it at all for a few weeks or steam clean it, you can find steam cleaners used for like 50$ almost anywhere. I also highly recommend the sulphur soaps to avoid reinfestation and using the scabies mattress covers. You also want to treat you and your daughter at the same time or you will continue to pass it back and forth.
