Hi, my hubby and I were just diagnosed w/scabies. Started the Permethrin cream tonight but to my dismay ...found it was toxic. yuck. Anyway, I ordered some natural stuff online.

About getting the debris out...has anyone just tried using sea salt mixed in w/almond oil or some other oil? I have used it in the past for exfoliating my face. I have very sensitive skin and don't take well to make up, most creams, cleansers, etc. I'm surprised I'm not reacting to the Permethrin. I bought sulfur soaps that rated higher for treating acne than the Dermisil. I've used sulfur soaps in the past for acne, so I checked those reviews for concentration of sulfur. Was thinking of using it in conjunction w/salt rubs...
Thoughts? Opinions?

Yuppers. You can use either the Dermisil sulfur soaps (they contain a exfoliant in the bars specifically for scabies) or you can try damp or wet salts or even epsom salts and this will work. You can also use stuff like St Ives exfoliant scrubs but I would prefer the sulfur soaps because they will actually help your skin heal faster. You can also use baby oil on your skin and work in circular motions as you will feel scabies debris surface.

Id imagine salt may work but the best way to help your skin surface the dead mites and their debris in post scabies is to use sulfur soaps specially for scabies. These soaps contain both sulfur and exfoliants. The sulfur will help kill any lingering mites and also prevent them, the exfoliant will help work out all the dead mites from under your skin which are causing the itching allergy.

You can get scabies sulfur soaps and creams here

Sulfur has been used for centuries and is the most effective mite killer as it kills scabies, bird and even rat mites.
