How can I tell if it is scabies or bed bugs I have? I have been getting really itchy lately and am seeing bumps on my arms and wastline, the bumps are rather flat and it looks like a rash with little red dots. Can anyone tell me the difference between scabies and bed bugs or if this sounds like them?

Bed bug bites are welt like in appearance and will hurt and itch. Scabies will develop rashes that show up in groups usually around skin folds or thicker areas of skin and will sometimes be scaley like dry skin and show burrow marks. Scabies also itches at night as that is when scabies are most active.
